DRAW

PolySkin

The Draw->PolySkin can skin between any two polygon mesh objects provided that they have the same number of points and polygons.

Used in conjunction with the Effect->Push effect, this command can give objects a thickness. When this result is used in conjunction with the Polygon->Breakup, Polygon->Equalize, and Effects->Explode effects, you can give each exploding polygon a thickness.

Procedure

  1. Create two polygon mesh objects and place one inside the other.
  2. Apply the Polygon->Breakup effect to both polygon mesh objects (this is optional).
  3. Choose the Draw->PolySkin command.
  4. Pick the inside polygon mesh, then pick the outside polygon mesh.

The resulting model with "thickness" is created.
