About this Document

This guide describes Nichimen's N64 Express, which lets you interactively preview objects created in N·World on the Nintendo 64, then export them in Nintendo display list format for use in your game.

Contents of this Document

The information in this manual is presented as follows:

Chapter 1 "Using N64 Express" describes how to create an object, assign N64 attributes to it, then preview it on the Nintendo 64. It also describes how to prepare and preview animations on the N64.

Chapter 2 "N64 Materials and Attributes" describes the N64 attribute domain, designed to allow you to create detailed texture maps for use on the N64.

Document Style Conventions

This document contains a number of style conventions designed to make it easier to use. Different typefaces indicate such things as screen messages and operator entries. The following sections describe the style conventions used.

Notes

Notes of special interest are set off from the text within horizontal rules:

: Note. Notes provide information that is important enough to demand special attention. The information may be relevant to the current discussion but awkward to include without disrupting the flow of information.

Mouse and Keyboard Notation

The following conventions are used in the text:

(Shift-ctrl-L)

Key combinations are enclosed in parentheses. (shift-L) means to click the left mouse button while holding down the shift key.
Special modifier keys are also enclosed in parentheses.
Combinations of modifier keys are also possible.
