Interactive Update

The Preferences->Interactive Update command is a toggle, available in all modules except Tools, that allows faster interactive manipulation by preventing unwanted interactive updates from happening, such as when moving an object that is used as a point constraint for a complex geometry. Interactive Update is selected by default.

There are times when the Preferences->Interactive Update command is selected, the first arm returns to its initial keyframed state, which may be undesirable.

You can press the n Supra key to temporarily override the current state of the Interactive Update command. While you are pressing n, it toggles to the opposite state as you see in the status line at the bottom of the display. When you release the key, the command returns to its previous state.
