SEQUENCE

Sequence

The Sequence command in the Motion module allows you to globally control animation by offsetting or stretching (scaling) the motion of objects. These controls can be applied to selected objects or all objects.

For more information about controlling your animation, see the Controlling the Overall Animation section of the Animating User's Guide.

When you choose the Sequence->Selection or All command, the Sequence dialogue box is displayed.

Parameters

Offset

Adds the specified number of frames before the start of the animation. Values range from - to .

Scaling

Scales the length of the animation by the factor set in this text box. Values range from 0 to .

Start/End

Defines the range of frames to be scaled.

Keyframes outside this range are offset if the Scaling value is greater or less than 1. For example, if you increase the speed of your animation between frames 10 and 20 by a scaling factor of 0.5, or twice as fast, then keyframes after frame 20 are offset by -5 frames.

Pivot

Defines a reference frame for scaling. If the Pivot is set at the start frame for the range to be scaled, the animation is scaled in the positive direction. If the pivot is set to the end frame, the animation is scaled in the negative direction. If the pivot is set to the midpoint frame, or any other frame in between, the animation is scaled in the positive and negative directions.
