SAVEKEY

Object

The SaveKey->Object subcommands in the Motion module allow you to create keyframe animation for a selected object by saving the current values of the selected parameter at a specific frame. For more information on creating keyframes, see the Creating Keyframes section of the Animating User's Guide.

Note:

Be careful when saving a key with the SaveKey->Transformation command because it saves all three basic transformations (scaling, rotation, and translation). This may cause a problem if you have defined previously single transformations: extra "neutral" keys are added which may adversely affect the animation.

Refer to FcrvSelect->Object for a description of the parameters.

Procedure

  1. Select an object.
  2. Select a frame with the time line pointer.
  3. Transform or modify the object.
  4. Choose a SaveKey->Object subcommand.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for each keyframe.
