The Save->Fcurve Segment command in the Motion module works in
conjunction with the FcrvEdit->Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment command. It allows you
to save the contents of the copy/paste function curve segment buffer.
Procedure
- Open the Fcurve window and select the function curve you want to save.
- Choose the FcrvEdit->Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment command.
The Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment dialogue box is displayed.
- Enter the Start and End frames of the segment to be saved and click
Process. See Parameters for more information about all parameters for this
dialogue box.
The selected segment is displayed in the buffer window.
- Click Ok to confirm your selection and exit the dialogue box.
Tip:
You can get information on the function curve segment just loaded by choosing the Info->Fcurve
Buffer command.
- Choose the Save->Fcurve Segment command.
The Save Fcurve Segment dialogue box is displayed.
- In the browser, display the chapter in which you want to save the function curve, then
type the name of the function curve file in the Filename text box.
- Click Ok to confirm the operation and exit the dialogue box.
The function curve is saved in the desired chapter.
Tip:
The function curve buffer is not emptied by this operation, so you can continue to
paste function curves from it.
Parameters
Scroll Box
Displays the chapters in the current database. You can search through the current
database or move outside the database to select the desired file.
File Name
Displays the selected file name. You can also type the file name directly into the text
box.
Use Icons
Allows you to display the contents of the browser as icons.
Tip:
The saved file can be retrieved and pasted into another scene using the Get->Fcurve
Segment (Motion Module) command.
