PLOT |
Shape |
The Plot->Shape command in the Motion module records shapes of an object previously animated by methods, such as lattice or cluster animation, curve or surface deformation, or Quick Stretch. These shapes are generated onto the actual geometry of the object, resulting in shape animation. You can then delete the previous form of animation. For example, you can animate a curve used to create a revolving object, plot its shape, and then delete the animated curve. The animation is retained because it has been copied onto the geometry of the object.
This command is useful for saving the shapes created using complex combinations of deformation on an object.
Note:
You cannot use Plot->Shape animation for an object that already has shape animation, even if other deformations are applied.
- Frame step records the object's shape at the selected frame interval. For example, if you type 2 in the text box, the object's shape is recorded at every second frame.
- Number of copies records the number of shapes you specify at equal intervals during the animation.
