PATH

Conv. to Trajectory

The Path->Conv. to Trajectory command allows you to create a trajectory (one key point per frame) for an object that has explicit translation function curves. Trajectories do not apply to cameras and lights - they apply only to models.

For a description of trajectories, see the Plotting Trajectories section of the Animating User's Guide.

Procedure

  1. Select an object animated with explicit translation.
  2. Choose the Path->Conv. to Trajectory command.

The explicit path of the selected object is converted to a trajectory.

Tip:

You can edit the first frame of the animation by choosing the Path->Timing command to display the Trajectory Timing dialogue box. Modify the Start Frame, then click Ok to accept the change and close the dialogue box. When you play back the sequence, the new timing is applied.
