GET

Fcurve Segment

The Get->Fcurve Segment command is available in the Motion module and works in conjunction with the FcrvEdit->Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment command. It allows you to search for a previously saved function curve file so that you can paste it into the currently displayed scene.

Procedure

  1. In the current scene, select an object.
  2. Open an Fcurve window.
  3. Choose the Get->Fcurve Segment command.

The Read Fcurve dialogue box is displayed, listing chapters in the current database.
  4. Double-click the desired chapter.

All function curves files (ASCII) in the chapter are displayed.
  5. Select the name of the file you want, or type the file name into the Filename text box.
  6. Click Ok to confirm your selection and exit the dialogue box.

    Tip:

You can get information on the fcurve segment just loaded by choosing the Info->Fcurve Buffer command.
  7. Choose the FcrvEdit->Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment command.

The Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment dialogue box is displayed, and the function curve you selected appears in the buffer window.
  8. Edit the parameters and choose the appropriate Operation type. See Parameters for more information about all parameters for this dialogue box.
  9. Click Process to perform the operation, then click to Ok to confirm the operation and exit the dialogue box (click Cancel to undo the operation).
