The Get->Fcurve Segment command is available in the Motion module
and works in conjunction with the FcrvEdit->Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment command.
It allows you to search for a previously saved function curve file so that you can paste
it into the currently displayed scene.
Procedure
- In the current scene, select an object.
- Open an Fcurve window.
- Choose the Get->Fcurve Segment command.
The Read Fcurve dialogue box is displayed, listing chapters in the current database.
- Double-click the desired chapter.
All function curves files (ASCII) in the chapter are displayed.
- Select the name of the file you want, or type the file name into the Filename
text box.
- Click Ok to confirm your selection and exit the dialogue box.
Tip:
You can get information on the fcurve segment just loaded by choosing the Info->Fcurve
Buffer command.
- Choose the FcrvEdit->Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment command.
The Copy/Paste Fcurve Segment dialogue box is displayed, and the function curve you
selected appears in the buffer window.
- Edit the parameters and choose the appropriate Operation type. See Parameters
for more information about all parameters for this dialogue box.
- Click Process to perform the operation, then click to Ok to confirm the
operation and exit the dialogue box (click Cancel to undo the operation).
The results are displayed in the Fcurve window.
Parameters
Browser
Displays the chapters in the current database. You can search through the current
database or move outside the database to select the desired file.
File name
Displays the selected file name. You can also type the file name directly into the text
box.
Use Icons
Allows you to display the contents of the browser as icons.
