FCRVSELECT

Object

The FcrvSelect->Object command in the Motion module displays function curves of the animated parameters for the selected objects in the Fcurve window.

For more information on all tasks related to editing function curves, see the Editing Function Curves section of the Animating User's Guide.

Procedure

  1. Select an object. You can also use the Multi menu cell to select multiple objects.
  2. Choose the FcrvSelect->Object command.

The Fcurve window and the appropriate function curve(s) appear.

All

Displays all transformation function curves defined for the selected object.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Scaling

Displays the function curves for the selected object's animated scale. You can display any of the three axes function curves (x, y, z) or All function curves. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are the scale factors.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Rotation

Displays the function curves for the selected object's rotations. You can display any of the three axes function curves (x, y, z) or All function curves. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are the values in degrees.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Translation

Displays the function curve for the selected object's translation path. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window range from 0 to 100 and represent the percentage of the length of the path. On an open path, the object stops at the end points if the values are over 100 or under 0; on a closed path, the object loops.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Explicit Translation

Displays the function curves for the selected object's explicit translation. You can display any of the three axes function curves (x, y, z) or All function curves. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are local coordinates; they are represented relative to their parent. If there is no parent or if the explicit positions are applied to a chain's end effector, they represent global coordinates.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Shape

Displays the function curve for the selected object's shape animation. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent key shape numbers. If the values on the function curve goes below 0, the first shape is used. Similarly, if the values go above the last key shape number, the last key shape is used.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Shape Weights

Displays the function curves for the selected object's shape weights. There is one function curve for each shape. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent a proportion between 0 and 1, in percentages, of the shape.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Cluster

Displays the function curve for the selected cluster on the object. The selected cluster must have a keyframed value defined using the SaveKey->Object->Cluster Key command. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent the total number of cluster keys, beginning at 0, for that cluster.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Cluster Weights

Displays the function curves for the selected object's current cluster shape weights. There is one function curve for each cluster shape key. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent a proportion between 0 and 1, in percentages, of the shape.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Node Lattice

Displays the function curve for the selected object's animated node lattice. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent lattice shape key numbers.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Node Curve Deformation

All

Displays all function curves related to the node curve deformation of the selected object.

Scaling

Displays the function curve for the animated scaling on a node curve deformation animation. There are three axes function curves (x, y, z). The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent scaling factors.

Roll

Displays the function curve for the roll (rotation) on a node curve deformation animation. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are in degrees.

Translation

Displays the function curve for the translation on a node curve deformation animation. There are three curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent SOFTIMAGE units.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Node Surface Deformation

All

Displays all node surface deformation animation function curves for the selected object.

Scaling

Displays the function curves for the scaling and node surface deformation animation. There are three curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are scaling factors.

Rotation

Displays the function curves for the rotation on a node surface deformation animation. There are three curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are in degrees.

Translation

Displays the function curve for the translation on a node surface deformation animation. There are three curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent SOFTIMAGE units.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Branch Lattice

Displays the function curve for the branch lattice of a selected object. There is only one function curve. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent key lattice shape numbers.

FCRVSELECT

Object

Branch Curve Deformation

All

Displays all function curves related to branch curve deformation of the selected object.

Scaling

Displays the function curves for scaling on a branch curve deformation animation. There are three curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent scaling factors.

Roll

Displays the function curve for the roll (rotation) on a branch curve deformation animation. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are in degrees.

Translation

Displays the function curve for the translation on a branch curve deformation animation. There are three curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent SOFTIMAGE units.
