FCRVEDIT

Set Keys on Frames

The FcrvEdit->Set Keys on Frames command in the Motion module is used to set key points positioned between frames (non-integer frame numbers) onto the frames. Key points that are not set at a time value corresponding to a frame are moved to the closest frame. This is determined by the Overlapping Key Distance option in the Animation Preferences dialogue box (see Preferences->Animation).

This command is especially useful when working with rotations with discontinuous angles (-180 and 180 degrees).

Tip:

To keep frames at integer frame numbers, you can also select the Grid Lock option for X in the Fcurve window (in the Layout dialogue box). This prevents you from moving key points to a non-integer frame.

Procedure

  1. Select the function curve you want to edit.
  2. Choose the FcrvEdit->Set Keys on Frames command.
