GetEffectsFonts

 

The Get->GetEffectsFont command in the Model module is a "get" tool for fonts that you have created with the Get->EffectsText command in the Model module. It brings up the entire alphabet for you to edit or modify the letters and save the font again.

Procedure

  1. Choose the Get->GetEffectsFont command in the Model module. The Get Font dialogue box is displayed.
  2. Set the parameters as desired.
  3. Click Ok.

Parameters

Font Name

Type in the name of the font you want to use (case is important). Use the Browser button for easy access to font directories. The font included in your SOFTIMAGE custom effects package is called goofy. It is contained in the /Demos/etc directory of the SOFTIMAGE custom effects package.

Proportional or Constant Spacing

These options determine whether every letter is given the same amount of space (constant spacing) or if thinner letters such as "i" or "l" are given less space (proportional spacing).
