PolygonRuleBased

The Effect->PolygonRuleBased command in the Model module allows you to reduce the number of polygons in a model by eliminating edges according to various rules based on specific criteria, such as the length of edges and strict polygon counts. Rule-based reductions allow you to reach specific polygon counts, but there is some cost to model fidelity.

You can also use this effect by selecting the Rule Based option of the Polygon Reduction effect. The Polygon Reduction effect combines the Rule Based, Optimization Based, and Filter effects.

You should use Effect->PolygonRuleBased if you are certain that you do not need the other reduction options. Otherwise, you should use Effect->PolygonReduction.
