PERSPECTIVE WINDOW

Introduction

The Perspective window shows objects in a scene from the virtual camera's point of view. If you look at the edges of objects, you will notice that they converge toward a central vanishing point and that objects nearer to the point of view appear larger than those farther away.

When you change the location of the camera or its field of view, you will see the scene change in the Perspective window. Since the default Perspective window (window B) is the one that is rendered by default, you should always use it to plan composition of frames, animation, lighting effects, and so on.

If the Perspective view is in a window other than B (in A, C, or D), it is not rendered. If window B is not Perspective, the SOFTIMAGE renderer renders the state of the Perspective view in B before it was changed to another type of window.

For a description of the standard window title bar options, see Window Title Bar Options.
