Spreadsheet only options

The following options can be accessed only from the Spreadsheet
window.

Infinite Tiling
|

You can view infinite tiling of textures in the Shade view. When
infinite tiling is enabled, the texture is replicated on the model surface until the model
is wrapped completely.
- From the Spreadsheet title bar, click QUERY to open the Set
Query dialogue box.
- At the bottom of the dialogue box, in the Edit Clause section,
set the following clause:
chptyp == T2D
and click Accept. Be sure that you are editing the main query, do not add another clause
or a subquery.
- Click Columns to open the Columns dialogue box, and expand the
2D Textures parameters in Available Columns by double-clicking on TEXTURES2D.
- Scroll down the list to the t2infin attribute. Highlight t2infin
and click Add to place it in the Displayed Columns list.
- Click Exit to return to the Set Query dialogue box. If you want to
save your query, see Saving a Query section of the Working with SOFTIMAGE 3D
User's Guide for more information.
- Click Ok to run your query. The Spreadsheet displays a column
for enabling and disabling the t2infin parameter. Click on a cell with the middle
mouse button to toggle this parameter on and off.

Video Textures in SI Live Viewer

You can view live video textures from the SOFTIMAGE Live standalone
viewer if you have the right type of hardware (Sirius box). You cannot view these textures
from within SOFTIMAGE 3D, but you must still activate the option from within your scene
prior to exiting to use the SOFTIMAGE Live viewer.
The following steps outline how to set up your query to use the
video texturing option.
- In the Spreadsheet window, click QUERY. The Set Query dialogue
box is displayed.
- At the bottom of the dialogue box in the Edit Clause section,
set the following clause:
chptyp == T2D
and click Accept. Be sure that you are editing the main query, do not add another clause
or a subquery
- Click Columns to open the columns dialogue box, and expand the
2D Textures parameters in Available Columns by double-clicking on TEXTURES2D.
- Scroll down the list to the t2sirius attribute. Highlight t2sirius
and click Add to place it in the Displayed Columns list.
- Click Exit to return to the Set Query dialogue box. If you want to
save your query, see the Saving a Query section of the Working with SOFTIMAGE
3D User's Guide for more information.
- Click Ok to run your query. The Spreadsheet displays a column for

Camera Projection Planes

The following steps outline how to set up your query to change the
camera projection planes.
- In the Spreadsheet window, click QUERY. The Set Query dialogue
box is displayed.
- At the bottom of the dialogue box, in the Edit Clause section,
set the following clause:
chptyp == CAM
and click Accept. Be sure that you are editing the main query, do
not add another clause or a subquery
- Click Columns to open the columns dialogue box, and expand the
camera parameters in Available Columns by double-clicking on CAMERAS.
- Scroll down the list to the camera projection plane attributes.
Highlight the following:
cmpdst (camera projection plane distance)
cmpszx (camera projection plane size in x)
cmpszy (camera projection plane size in y)
cmpact (camera projection plane active)
- Click Add to place them in the Displayed Columns list.
- Click Exit to return to the Set Query dialogue box. If you want to
save your query, see the Saving a Query section of the Working with SOFTIMAGE
3D User's Guide for more information.
- Click Ok to run your query. The Spreadsheet displays a column for
editing the projection plane values, and enabling and disabling the cmpact (camera
projection plane active) parameter. Middle-click on a cell to toggle this parameter on and
off.
